Thank you ALL for your support throughout the year!!

We would like to take this time to thank everyone at this holiday season. We at the Philippine Dance Company of Rochester are so grateful to you all for your support, encouragement, and love. We exceeded all expectations in this, our first year of being a full fledged dance company. We have been overwhelmed by all the help, and donations towards all our fundraising events. We had our share of first year stumbles, but they have all become learning experiences and positive. We love all our dancers who have worked so hard at each and every performance, and thank them so much for all their efforts. To all the volunteers, thank you all so very much! Without your help, we would be hard pressed to go on. And to the Filipino-American community, we want to express our deepest gratitude. Without you all supporting us, and cheering our dancers on, we would not have the will to continue. You all are the heart of PDCOR, and we look forward to serving you all into the future. God Bless you all, and have a Happy New Year!

The Philippine Dance Company of Rochester, Inc. (PDCOR) Appointed Officer's for 2014

The Philippine Dance Company of Rochester had its beginnings in 2006, when founding members Evan and Merle Snow, had their children, Aljon and Mayrell, performed the Tinikling and Surtido at Open Door Baptist Church for their Annual International Missions Conference. They were then asked to perform at the Asian Heritage Family Day for the Memorial Art Gallery of Rochester, NY the following spring, to great applause. They have performed there ever since, representing the Philippine community with pride. Since then, they have performed for Open Door and the Memorial Art Gallery again, as well as for other events, in United States, such as Transfiguration Lutheran Church, Rotary International, Rochester Rotary Latino Club, Wegman's, and NOBITAS in Canada.
In May 2011, they become an independent troupe, adopting the official name of The Philippine Dance Company of Rochester, devoted to the promotion of Philippine culture through dance. The Philippine Dance Company of Rochester (PDCOR) is a member of the Rochester Arts Council, and was approved by the New York State as a Not-For-Profit Organization. With the leadership of the founding members, we have 20 Officers and 10 Board Members and an Appointed Legal Counsel.
In addition to performances, PDCOR members also participate in fundraising activities to assist those in need, through meal delivery services to cancer patients, clothing and bottle drives.
